9:00am – 5:00pm / Friday

ForPOS are looking for an Epos Engineer to join their exciting company. The role would be suited to an individual with previous computer or EPoS experience, showing technical competence in general hardware and software. Detailed EPoS experience is not a pre-requisite, but a professional can do positive attitude is essential.
The role would be varied and will require the successful applicant to spend their working week between fulfilling new orders, stock management, machine repairs, carrying out on-site warranties, and supporting customers over the phone and occasionally face-to-face with full EPoS installations.
Responsibilities:
- Logging returns and repairs using Microsoft Excel
- Backing up customer gold builds – experience using Cronus is desirable but not a prerequisite
- Installing and updating Microsoft operating systems including Windows 7 and Windows 10
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest technologies
- Experience using Sage 200 desirable
- Experience in dismantling computers down to mainboard level is advantageous, training will be given for our EPOS hardware
- On occasions, you will be expected to carry out onsite repairs for customers
- Good telephone manners and ability to talk with customers in a technical and non-technical manner
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise
- A team player
The ability to be proactive, able to prioritise, and problem-solve while working alone and as part of a growing team is essential.
