9:00am – 5:00pm / Friday

ForPOS is looking for an Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join their exciting and rapidly growing company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
• Raising invoices and resolving invoice queries, ensuring payments are received on time.
• Validating and posting supplier invoices to the purchase ledger, ensuring invoices contain all the correct details.
• Taking responsibility for the management of employee expenses, petty cash, and commission
• Carry out bank reconciliations (Multi Currency) and resolve discrepancies ensuring ledgers are kept updated
• General administrative duties within the accounts department including filing, mailbox management and reports
• Responsible for month-end account procedures including journal postings, reconciling nominal accounts, profit and loss balance sheets
• Filing of quarterly VAT return on HMRC and Tax Optimiser
• other duties include but are not limited to holiday and sickness cover for the sales administrator, updating the exchange rate monthly, and general office duties.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Experience of Sage 50 / 200
- Previous experience within a similar role is desirable.
- Must have good attention to detail.
- Ability to focus on your work and work as part of a team
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Good working knowledge of computer hardware and widely used software packages, such as Microsoft Office
